Scrunch Hair
If your hair has any hint of waviness to it, you can increase its volume without inviting the dry frizziness that often occurs, by scrunching it. Everyone has their own way of scrunching that works best for their hair type, but the method suggested here is a great way to start. Don't forget that all hair is different and yours won't come out the same as another person's; it's important to keep experimenting
You should always wash your hair before attempting to scrunch it, as scrunching only works properly on wet hair. If you try to scrunch dry hair it will end up looking like a ball of frizz! If possible, use a volumizing shampoo which will help give your scrunched hair body and texture. Use only a small amount of conditioner, and be sure to rinse your hair very well to keep it from being weighed down by product.
While you're still in the shower, use a wide-tooth comb to detangle your hair while you have conditioner in it. The conditioner will make it easier to tease out any tangles and will minimize damage to hair, making it less prone to frizz.
Part your hair wherever you like - down the middle, at the side, or zig-zagged - keeping in mind that the scrunched hair look is made to be messy, and a perfect part is far from necessary.
Once you've rinsed out your hair and stepped out of the shower, wrap a large, absorbent towel around your head like a turban for about two minutes. Then unwrap the towel and use it to pat any excess moisture from the hair. You can do this by grabbing small sections of hair and sqeezing them against the towel. This will provide some pre-scrunching curl.
Make sure to pat your hair with the towel rather than rubbing it. Rubbing it dry causes a lot of hair damage and breakage, which leads to frizz rather than smooth, sleek curls.
Don't dry your hair too much - you still need it to be wet for scrunching, you just don't want it to be dripping, as the styling products will drip out also.
Avoid using a hair dryer to get rid of excess moisture, as this will dry the hair too quickly and have a straightening effect on the hair, which will not help you to scrunch curls.

When you’re in the business of renting tuxedos, you want people to believe that they are appropriate for all kinds of events, and that means they can sometimes be turned into a novelty item.
Fun for the whole family and good for some laughs, no doubt — but it’s certainly not the refined elegance needed for a true black tie event.
While seeing “Black Tie” on an event invitation can be intimidating, the good news is that getting black tie right isn’t hard!
In fact, the strictness of the dress code makes it one of the easiest outfits you’ll ever plan.

First, a few things you need to know about black tie attire:

The usual rule of thumb is that you dress for the end time of an event. So a long ceremony that starts in the afternoon and ends after dark is tuxedo-appropriate, but one that starts in the morning and ends in the afternoon when the sun is up is not.
That said, the invitation is always your guide. If a well-meaning friend has requested “black tie” for his morning wedding, you show up in your tux and you don’t say a word about it. Being a good guest counts for more than being right.

In looking at photographs, making them, and then writing about them, it has never seemed quite enough to say that the medium’s distinctions are purely physical; that a light-sensitive emulsion, a lens, a shutter and a continuous-tone image are the only factors that make a photograph different from a drawing or painting. For example, our reactions to a photo-realist painting, say by Chuck Close, even though it is painstakingly copied from a photograph and looks like one (even incorporating such photographic phenomena as shallow depth-of-field), is quite different from our reaction to the photograph itself. And that reaction is different not just because the photograph might be small and the painting large. It is different because of how the images were made, the acts of observation and creation they imply

Creamy Collards with Smithfield Ham
1/4 cup olive oil
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 Tbs. finely chopped garlic
1-1/2 cups chopped Smithfield ham, other country-cured ham, or prosciutto
2 cups homemade or low-salt canned chicken stock
2 large heads (about 3 lb. total) collard greens, washed, stemmed, and cut into 1/4-inch strips
2 cups heavy cream
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic; sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add the ham; sauté for about 1 minute. Add the stock and collard greens; cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until the collards are tender, about 15 minutes. (The greens will diminish in volume as they cook.) Add the heavy cream and cook until it reduces and thickens slightly, another 10 to 15 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Women And Cars
Through customer research, Olsson said, the company discovered that women want everything in a car that men want in terms of performance and styling, "plus a lot more that male car buyers have never thought to ask for."
"We learned that if you meet women's expectations, you exceed those for men," he said.
The result: A car that's designed to be nearly maintenance free, requiring an oil change every 31,000 miles. When it's time for an engine inspection, the car sends a wireless message to a local service center, which notifies the driver. The vehicle has no hood, only a large front end primarily suited for opening by a mechanic. It also features a race-car-like fueling system with a roller-ball valve opening for the nozzle but no gas cap.
The engine is a low-emission, gas-electric hybrid.
"You get the power, and you're environmentally OK at the same time," said Tatiana Butovitsch, the project's communications manager.
Gull-wing doors allow easy access to space behind the driver's seat. The bottom of the rear seats fold up, similar to theater seating, providing more storage space. The car also has dirt-repellant paint and glass, exchangeable seat covers with matching carpet and sensors that allow for easier parking.
